Emerging From the Cave

*blinks*

We had a snow day today (more like a blizzard day) and had to dig ourselves out of a virtual snow cave, not to mention cleaning up after three episodes of 100mph hurricane force winds.

But you know what's even better than a snow day?

I. AM. DONE. WITH. BOOK. NUMBER. TWO.

Pardon me for the virtual yelling and awkward pauses there, but you have no idea how GOOD IT FEELS TO BE DONE!

14 months of researching, writing, revising, and editing. DONE!

(Shhh... I didn't actually finish today since I took a number of days to do absolutely nothing. Then our internet died when a 20 foot spruce tree fell down and took out our internet cable. Blecch.)

So I'll just leave you with one of my favorite quotes for today...

How beautiful it is to do nothing and then rest afterwards.
-Spanish proverb

I think it feels even better to rest after writing a book.
