I've got to get a copy of Divergent. Heard it is amazing.

Also, Daughters of Rome and The Russian Concubine sound like books I'd like. Here's hoping there's a Barnes & Noble gift card in my stocking this year. :)

THere have been so many new and fabulous books out this year! Great choices :)

Vicki Tremper said...

I haven't read most of those, but I loved Divergent!

Happy Holidays, Stephanie!

What! You've only just read Harry Potter?!?! How is that possible??? And I love your new header. Could that be the fabulous Theodora?

Renee Yancy said...

Yes, is that Theodora? Great pic! Have you heard anything from Josh yet?

You're so right that THE COURSE OF HONOR by L.Davis is under-appreciated. I love that book! I also thought Beatrice & Virgil was extremely powerful and was kind of amazed at the vitriol it received when it was first released...and now I must add some of these to my TBR list.

L.G.- I think you'd love both books. I devoured both of them!

Jemi--Tell me about it. My TBR pile is taller than me!

Vicki--Divergent was a nice surprise. I didn't really intend to enjoy it as much as I did.

Jade--I boycotted Harry Potter for a long time and then decided to read them for the first time with my daughter. Unfortunately, she lost interest after Book #3 (she's only 5 so we'll cut her some slack) so I had to keep reading on my own. I loved them!

Renee--Yep, that's Theodora. I love that painting. (Although I fear it's terribly inaccurate!)

Vicky--I found Course of Honor this summer and devoured it. And I loved Beatrice and Virgil so much I'm making 39 students read it this spring. It's truly mind-boggling!

Ashamed to admit I haven't read any of these. Yet. Is it okay if I add yet?

I've got to catch up on my reading. I haven't read a one.
