You Can Fly!

My daughter really likes Tinkerbell. Why?

1. Tinkerbell can fly.
2. Tinkerbell can "pixie" anyone and then they can fly.
3. Tinkerbell can go to Neverland.

I've been told that I can't be Tinkerbell; I'm only Wendy's mom. I get to wear a pink gown for my consolation prize (which really doesn't make up for the fact that I can't fly). But I'd really like to borrow Tinkerbell for a little bit.

What would I have her do? Sprinkle pixie dust on Book #2 to get the first draft finished!

If you could borrow Tinkerbell or some other sprightly creature (elves, fairies, gnomes, Oompa Loompas), what would you have them do to help out your writing?

I think I'd do the same as you-- get some first drafts out of the way. Bah.

Well, I've gotta say, I'd be using that pixie dust finish up this draft. I need to wrap this baby up and put her back to bed. She and I are starting to need our space from each other again.

I'd have them work the day job for me, clean the house, and basically do anything that interferes with the time I get to spend putting words into that word processor document that contains my WiP.

They could crawl into my head and whisper good ideas to me!

I would love an oompa loompa to help me with the query process...

Your daughter has good taste - Tinkerbell is awesome :)

I'd have Tink sprinkle some of her magic to create me more time. Or at least put me into hyper speed so I could revise more quickly!

Make my descriptions sparkle. Heck, make my house sparkle, too. :D

Well gee, who can pause time? That's what I need!

Tinkerbell is pretty cool though.

I'd probably get Ludo (from Labyrinth) to push me through the slow spots (and the Bog of Eternal Stench).

Uh... I'd like to be that mutant on X-Men that can move really fast. Then I could clean my whole house in like, minutes. Get all the errands done. Play with the kids.

And then I could do what I want: surf the blogosphere. Or write. Yeah, let's go with write.

I'd borrow a couple of brownies to keep the housework done and maybe try to riddle some gold from a Leprechaun so I can quit my day job and buy a new computer. As far as the writing itself . . . well I enjoy that part. And I'm not letting any filthy little imp fingers near my drafts. They'll spill ink on it.

I think I'd have Tink either slow down time so I have more to write with, or quicken up my writing pace so I could get book 2 finished (first draft) before May 31.

Hi, Stephanie!

Your daughter and I would get along SO great. I have TinkerBell plastered all over the place: on my walls, pillowcases, keychains, necklaces, earrings, posters, yard-art, artwork, checks, clothing, stickers, backpacks...you name it, it has TinkerBell on it. My computer is even NAMED "TinkerBell"!

And if there was a "SkinIt" for the size of my computer, I would get one in the beautiful "Tinker Bell" design that I got for the "Kindle2" that my husband, Dion, bought for me.

Why don't you take a quick peak at the review I did of my "Kindle2", and you can see the photos and see what I'm talking about. That way you can decide if you'll want your daughter to see them or not. I think she'll love them!

By the way...I "followed" your blog, and I sure would appreciate a follow-back.

Until next time,
Cynde

I'd have Tinkerbell clone me so I could blog, do PR for my next book due out in August, and write my next novel that is only halfway finished. Please send Tinkerbell over asap. ;)

Tinkerbell would sprinkle magic fairy dust on my books to make them compelling and exciting and finished! With a wave of the wand!

Tinkerbell needs to pixie those six editors who are still deliberating over my book. I'd really like to get that thing sold soon...barring that, I'd like to get it rejected soon so I we can submit it to more editors!
